OUR STORY
Killaha Holidays has been in the same family for 3 generations and counting...
Founded by Dr. and Mrs Schofield in the early 1950s after their retirement from medical missionary work in Uganda. Killaha was established as a special place as they hosted their many friends from all over the world. The Ugandan royal family were regular visitors throughout the 1950s & 60s and the supermodel,
Princess Elizabeth of Toro, holidayed here as a teenager!
We are proud to continue the family tradition of warmth and hospitality in a stunning location with our beautifully renovated 1950s timber holiday home with all mod cons, Tig Admaid, and our off-grid glamping site in Killaha Woods, with fully furnished, solar powered, beautiful handcrafted Irish yurts

THE FARM
Killaha Holidays is nestled amidst 20 acres of woodland, seashore and meadow at the foot of Killaha mountain, where Killaha river meets the sea. We are proud to use our own materials whenever possible - wind-blown trees provide the timber for much of our buildings and all of our firewood.
Wood-fired stoves provide heating in the colder months. We recommend taking booking a session in our Secret Spa area, with wood-fired sauna and outdoor seaweed hot tub, listening to the sounds of the river and ocean, for the ultimate in relaxation.
